Ruthless, murderous and charismatic, Black Jack Anderson ruled the waters off the Australian coast in the early 1800s. He was Australia's only known pirate and roamed the waters, robbing passing boats and ships. He was a charismatic leader and was said to be able to evade capture because he would sale into perilous seas. Black Jack is thought to be buried on Middle Island in one of the remote caves. These were the same caves where it is rumored they hid their pirate's loot. Black Jack was known to carry many weapons, but the dagger was his favorite. Black Jack surprised many people with the small, stealthy blade. This double edged boot dagger is made from one solid piece of Damascus steel (1095 and 15n20) and is adorned with a marble horn and walnut handle.
